Worship Info for 3/20/2022

Sunday Worship 3/20/2022
Plus Updates on Annual & Capital Campaigns

This year during Lent, we are not only acknowledging the ways we need to repent of our sins, but the ways we are “Good Enough” in God’s eyes, and should be “Good Enough” in our own.

COVID Update
As our COVID-19 cases continue going down (as of Wednesday the 7-day average was less than 20), those who would like to return to in-person worship may do so as you are comfortable. We are continuing to follow CDC guidance related to wearing masks while indoors (vaccinated and boosted – masks optional; not vaccinated: please wear a mask for your protection and the protection of others). High quality masks (N95/KN95/KF94) preferred.

Our online services are at 9:30am (Traditional) and 11:00 am (Praise). Please see the link below to tune in!

Here are the bulletins for tomorrow morning’s services:

To join us for worship online…

Bible Buddies Adult Study Group
Join us on Tuesday at 10:30am in the Sanctuary for our Bible Buddies Study Group. We are pausing our work on “Making Sense of the Bible” and continuing our study for Lent based on the Lenten series called “Good Enough.” If you would like to attend online, please contact Pastor Jody at  by Monday evening.

This Adult Study Group is meeting this week at the home of Jerry & Sue Shanks. If you have not attended before and would like to attend tomorrow, please check with the ushers and they will direct you to someone who can give you directions to the Shanks’ home.

Annual Pledge Campaign
Commitment Cards and information brochures for our campaign, called “Time, Talent, and Treasure” were mailed last Friday. If you do not receive one in the mail, please let us know so we can resend them to you. We would like to receive your completed campaign cards in the office by March 31.

Midweek Bible Study on Monday @ 1:30pm on Zoom!
Please contact Pastor Jody at  to express your interest so we can send you the Zoom link.

Transforming our SoL Update
Our capital campaign, called Transforming our SoL is in full swing! We received 3-year commitments and one-time gifts totaling over $860,000. So far, contributions toward the campaign total $354,468. If you would like information about the campaign in order to prayerfully consider making a commitment or a one-time gift, please contact the office and we will gladly provide you with a packet.

Our Building Committee has been meeting since January of this year and will be meeting with potential architects in about two weeks. We will begin working with the architectural firm chosen by the committee to revisit, review, and revamp the Master Plan for our church property. After that, we will begin work on the design of our first permanent building.

Are you a caregiver for someone with memory impairment?
A support group is available to you sponsored by Dayspring UMC in Tempe and facilitated by our church member, Anne Ahland. The group meets by Zoom on the first and third Mondays of each month. Discussions include the successes and challenges of caregiving in a safe, confidential, and caring setting. Please contact Anne at  for more information.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow…either in-person or online!
