Worship Info for 9/4/2022

Communion Sunday

This Sunday we begin a new series called “Renewed” with a message entitled “Renewed Spirit” using the story of Zacchaeus, the Chief Tax Collector who liked to climb trees!!

This Sunday is also Communion Sunday. If you are worshiping from home, we recommend you have your communion elements (bread or crackers, juice or water) ready at the beginning of worship, as we will transition straight into communion after the Offering.

ICYMI: Here’s the description from last week of our new series…
Do you ever get the sense that you are just going through the motions? Does it feel like life is happening to you? Are you stuck? Maybe it is time for some renewal. God is always up to something new and He wants to invite you to join him to experience a renewed purpose, renewed spirit, renewed love and renewed community. Join us for the next four weeks as we open ourselves up to the work of God and get renewed.

  1. Week 1: Renewed Spirit
  2. Week 2: Renewed Purpose
  3. Week 3: Renewed Love
  4. Week 4: Renewed Community

COVID 19 Update
We’re still watching the local COVID 19 case numbers, but as most of Arizona, including Maricopa County, has been downgraded to “Medium Risk,” masks are not currently recommended/required indoors. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, you are welcome to do so.
Here are the bulletins for Sunday:

Note: we will have a limited supply of printed bulletins this Sunday, mainly for our guests, so please print your copy at home and bring it with you if you are worshiping in-person, OR use the QR Code on the front doors to download a copy of the bulletin to your smartphone.

To join us for worship online…

Our Traditional (9:30am) and Praise (11:00am) services will be livestreamed as usual tomorrow morning. Join us about 5-10 minutes before these services when we will “go live.” Here’s the link: Online Worship

Bible Buddies Adult Study Group and Area 412 will be taking a break for the rest of the summer. Watch for more information later this summer about their return.

Please take a look at the announcements on page 2 of our bulletins. We’ve included information about giving to our Communion Offering to assist those in the community who are in need, a status update on our Restart Initiative, and several dates we would like you to save so you can attend our Building Committee Listening Sessions and Annual Church Conference.
See you in worship!!
