We at Song of Life are entering into a new season of gathering for worship and study. After being online for more than 12 months, we are transitioning back to in-person activities. We know this has been a long time coming, but as people who love and care for one another, we have intentionally taken a slow and deliberate process, letting the science guide us along the way. Our in-person worship was being held outside in our patio/parking lot area but moved inside as of May 16.
We expect all who attend in-person worship to follow the CDC guidance regarding masks: those who are fully vaccinated may choose to wear a mask or not, while those who are NOT fully vaccinated will be expected to wear a mask. We will rely on the honor system and will not ask for proof of vaccination. Because there are some who want to continue wearing masks in spite of being vaccinated we ask everyone to respect each other’s choices to mask or not. Since some who want to attend in-person worship may still be vulnerable, our services will be designated as follows:
- 8:00 am In-Person Classic with Communion Worship Indoors (masks optional)
- 9:30 am In-Person Traditional Worship Indoors AND Online Worship (masks recommended)
- 11:00 am In-Person Praise Worship Indoors AND Online Worship (masks required)
Because congregational singing and speaking is safest when people are masked, we strongly urge those who want to sing or speak aloud during worship to do so while wearing a mask.
Our online worship is at live.songoflifeuc.org! The button below takes you there, where you’ll find links for downloading the worship bulletin, registering attendance (the Connection Card link), online giving, and prayer requests. The worship bulletins for the upcoming Sunday are also available here.
We recommend that the first thing you do there is to click on the menu in the upper-left corner (it’s a “hamburger” icon, with three stacked lines), and then on the “Sign Up” button to create a free login for the site. On the sign-up form, please create a “nickname” that will help us recognize you (it’s a bit like wearing a name badge at church). Creating a login isn’t required, but it will make it more convenient for you to interact with the “Chat” and other features. We apologize in advance if you experience any technical difficulties, and know that you can reach out to us any time at for assistance and we’ll get back to you ASAP. We also offer recordings of the services on YouTube. Earlier in 2020 (April through July), we were broadcasting to Facebook, so you’ll find those services on Facebook using the link below.
